Nautical Trend at Work

I’ve been on vacation from work for a week and a half but I’m heading back to work today. The truth is I get in a rut of wearing the same pants and tops to work because I know they work together and it doesn’t require any planning, so I decided to throw together some outfits for inspiration on ways to spruce up my work wardrobe. This is one of the outfits I tried on and I’m really liking the nautical feel of the striped skirt with the navy blouse. The purse added the perfect pop of color to this outfit and I picked it up at TJMAXX for a steal.

Inspiration From Friends

I have such stylist friends that sometimes I have to borrow an outfit idea from them. A friend of mine had this outfit idea and I had to try it out myself. I’m loving the casual look of the chambray top with the structured pencil skirt and the embellished belt brings it all together.

Work Outfit – Polka Dots

I got this skirt recently from a haul at Jcrew Outlet. I wanted to put together a girly outfit for work that’s something anyone could wear. I know a lot of people won’t wear all the colors I do so I think this is a nice option for those afraid of too much color.

Work Outfit- Mint and Yellow

When I bought this mint skirt last week from the J. Crew Outlet, I knew it would be a favorite in my closet. This is the first look I put together with it. This look is one I will be wearing to work. Mint and Yellow is always a favorite color combination for me.

I love this outfit and can’t wait to wear this to work. I am really loving the pockets on this skirt. Doesn’t everyone love pockets? I am also really liking this top. When I first got it, I wasn’t sure I would like it but once I paired it with this skirt, I knew it was a keeper. I may even be purchasing this top in additional colors now.

Mint Pants to Work

I saw mint work pants on the Express website and I debated on if I should buy them for several weeks. I wasn’t sure how they would work out. I didn’t want to look like an 80’s flashback. I finally decided to buy them, because what is the difference between mint jeans and mint work pants? Mint is almost a neutral at this point right? Well I bought them and I am really loving them.
